Terms of Service

Effective date: April 10, 2026. These Terms govern access to the TreeMA landing site, current hosted deployment, and the local-first product distribution described on the site.

1. Agreement

By accessing or using TreeMA, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service or distribution you accessed.

2. What TreeMA Is

TreeMA is an early, local-first project-state product. It is intended to help users structure project state, preserve decisions and risks, inspect staged project analysis, and review AI-assisted updates under human control.

TreeMA is not described here as legal, financial, security, compliance, or professional advice. The current MVP should be evaluated by each user for fitness in their own environment.

3. Eligibility and Account Responsibility

You may use TreeMA only if you can form a binding agreement and can comply with these Terms. You are responsible for the security of the devices, local files, credentials, and third-party provider accounts you use with TreeMA.

4. Permitted Use

You may use TreeMA for legitimate internal, personal, or professional project-state workflows.

You may not:

  • use TreeMA in violation of applicable law or third-party rights;
  • attempt to disrupt, probe, overload, or compromise the hosted deployment or related infrastructure;
  • misrepresent TreeMA as providing guarantees that the product does not actually provide;
  • use TreeMA to process data you are not allowed to use with the third-party services you connect.

5. Local Data and Third-Party Services

TreeMA is designed to keep core project state local by default. If you choose to connect third-party AI providers or other services, you authorize TreeMA to send the requests necessary to perform the actions you trigger. Your use of those services remains subject to their own terms, privacy policies, and usage limits.

6. Intellectual Property

Except for rights you retain in your own content or files, TreeMA and its associated site, branding, and product materials are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms do not transfer ownership to you.

7. Feedback

If you provide feedback, suggestions, or improvement ideas about TreeMA, you allow the operator to use them without restriction or compensation unless applicable law requires otherwise.

8. Availability and Changes

TreeMA is an early product. Features may change, move, be limited, or be removed at any time. We may suspend or discontinue any part of the hosted deployment without notice.

9. Disclaimers

TreeMA is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the maximum extent allowed by applicable law. We do not warrant that the product will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, accurate, or suitable for any specific purpose.

AI-assisted analysis and proposal features may be incomplete, uncertain, or wrong. You are responsible for reviewing outputs before relying on them.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the TreeMA operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, revenue, goodwill, or business opportunity arising from or related to your use of TreeMA.

11. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the TreeMA operator from claims arising out of your misuse of TreeMA, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of applicable law or third-party rights.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the hosted TreeMA surface if we reasonably believe you are violating these Terms or creating risk for the service, infrastructure, or other users.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the operator's principal place of business, excluding conflict-of-law rules, unless a different legal standard is required by applicable law.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as TreeMA evolves. When we do, we will publish the updated version with a revised effective date.

15. Contact

Questions about these Terms should be directed through the current Customer Support path published with the TreeMA distribution you are using. If no dedicated support channel is listed there, treat the repository or distribution source as the current operator contact point.
